Funny how facts are irrelevant when they don't fit in to your narrative. You're referencing the total number of legal migrants in the US but it's NOT about the total amount of immigrants. Talk about cherry picking facts. But we all know you only see things from your narrow viewpoint. If you don't see it, it doesn't exist.
If we're going to look at facts, let's look at all the facts and not "cherry pick" the info.
Total US population including all immigrants: 334.9M
Total number of immigrants: approx. 47.9M (about 14% of total population)
Of the 47.9M
-49% (23.4M) are naturalized US citizens
-Approx. 1.2M of the 23.4M became naturalized citizens in that same year
-24% (11.5M) are lawful residents
-4% (2M) have legal temp status
-23% (11M) are illegal migrants
Draw whatever conclusions you want from those numbers, but these facts are absolutely relevant to the conversation.

From what you posted I stand by my statement that about 25% of the immigrants that are here are not here legally. Not sure where the confusion is there.

Getting back to my OP: after that experience at graduation, how many english speakers in the audience now have a better opinion of the mexican population?
I'm guessing here, not fact, but I'm thinking as they sat through this "foreign" experience, they were asking themselves why? Why be subjected to a monolog they could not understand? The mexican population did themselves no favors by hijacking this part of the celebration.
