Central Texas report.
Rained most of the day yesterday. Temp dropped from low 50's to high 20's around 6PM. Established a nice ice layer. Inch of sleet followed. 2 inches of snow from 12-3 today. Expecting another round of sleet and more snow later today and overnight. Temps don't get above 20 until Monday. Low's in the single digits with some below zero wind chills. Then back in the 40's on Tuesday.
We dodged the freezing rain, which is nice. That shit takes down trees and power lines. Still a chance that could happen tonight into tomorrow.
The power grid is holding up to demand and expected to stay that way. Having grown up in the midwest, this is mild. Our houses and infrastructure aren't really equipped for it down here though. Certainly have to treat it with respect and have a plan. We're prepared for just about anything.
Stay warm RT brothers!
