My guess is the article writer said all that and still votes democrat. But both sides are complicit in selling out the nations manufacturing jobs, and small farms, which is the greatest source of the rest of the problems you mentioned. I'd be happy to go into detail as to how that fuels the overall continuing disenfranchisement of the middle and lower classes. This is why I say I don't vote, because it's a waste of time. He quoted FACTS in his op-ed. Rebut the facts. That's how it works. Prove him wrong and I'll accept that. Post bullshit quips like "love it or leave it" and I'll chalk that up as an admission that the article was air tight.

Fire Trump. Vote him and his predatory self-enriching fiscal policies out.

Remove qualified immunity from the police while raising their pay to attract a better class of human and fund more training in the law.

Institute a training and mental health requirement for gun purchases. Just like you had to do for a driver's licence.

Won't disagree on training. You can never get too much training. It's not standardized country wide. It's been tried but it didn't take.
