If it doesn't have strings on it I'd probably pass altogether since I can't even check out the action but provided it played well maybe 700-800+/- bucks since a used one from Japan is about a grand plus $200-250 shipping. I def wouldn't be getting rid of a nice Edwards LPC. I wanted one but settled on a standard model that I snagged for about 600 bucks outta Houston.

It’s got strings but neck needs a slight adjustment and the fretboard needs to be cleaned up.

I’ve already got pickups I could put in it so am thinking get it set up and list at a local shop for $1250 shipped

Competitive but only in the sense of avoiding the Japanese shipping hassles.

well yea that'll just be the asking price, i'm sure the lady who runs the shop will end up taking a lower offer, but thats ok, still way better than what i got it for

I took mine in to GC and got $900 for it with locking Gotoh tuners and the hardshell case. They typically go for $1100 or so.

I just liked the airy sound and tone of my LP standard more. Too many LPs

Crazy anyone would pay that for a used Chinese LP.

If you played an Edwards you'd understand. Incredible value for your money.

You mean those Chinese built guitars that were $200-400 a few years ago until people who didn't know what they were talking about grouped them in with MIJ?

Yes, those. I make my money using "cheap" guitars because I just can't afford to beat on a 6k+ Gibson ES since I dropped out in 11th grade  . Country of origin and perceived status of a guitar mean nothing to me if it plays and sounds good and Edwards guitars play and sound amazing. My indonesian Viper deluxe is similarly awesome for a mid line instrument.
