Loved that unit back in the '80s and also the HR-16B. 
When we first heard 'em in a studio it was like WTF? Suddenly this crisp, clear sound none of us had heard from a DM before.
Wouldn't surprise me to hear that they were the first 16-bit DM's on the market. Sure seemed that way.
