I am 39 but I don’t listen to that non-sense. But I guess my generation is not bad in terms of music taste. most recent generation are actively listening to some serious crap….

My 20 year old son always listened to mumble rap/ hip hop BS. Kanye West was his favorite. He just go home from college for the summer and I heard him listening to Led Zeppelin…things are looking up!

same, son just back from college.
In the car with my 19 year old son a few days ago, I let him choose the music. He chose King Crimson, In the Court of the Crimson King. He's a big Fripp fan. Gilmour, Blackmore, Marr, too.
He also likes '80s new wave (Cure, Smiths, Duran Duran, Ultravox,...)
A few days ago he asked me to show him how to play Man on the Silver Mountain - Rainbow. Rainbow (with Dio; and solo Dio) is one of his favorite rock bands.
We saw Polyphia live here a few years ago.
Much of the older music he listens to was music he heard growing up with me. He asks about other rock bands / music form the 70s and '80s
He listens to new music too, just doesn't play it unless I ask him.
