Need to make that pagan gold one with a tunomatic and string through.

That wouldn't even be remotely "Charvel-ish". It'd be cool.... but would be more "Schecter-ish"

Is the Slime green in this new batch close to the Dweezil green he
had on his old Charvel? I loved that color and this Slime green is the
bomb,too........

It looks just like the Dweezil color.

I want that Slime green so bad it hurts my crotch but I have come to the conclusion that I need a...............ugh..............strat.

Oh man as soon as the slime green hits the UK it is mine.

The band will hate me for it, my girlfriend will hate me for it, my mum will think it is gay but I freaking love that colour

The slime green ones are showing up on ebay for $999 shipped.

Chubtone is the man!

Curt is da man for sure, better to do business with a player / formite than some smuck on the web you dont know

Well when he bags on Vai he is a smuck though

I saw a few of these at a store the other day. They looked great, but the necks felt so rough and unfinished. Bad fret dressing too. This was the same for all of them. I was very dissapointed.

The one i had the neck felt good, as did psycodave's. And the frets all felt good, but they did stick out a little on the bottom of the fretboard, i do hate that. I just feel that these guitars need a pickup swap so consider that extra money you need to spend. Even with a 500k volume pot the JB sounds dull and the 59 has very little output. It almost sounds like a single coil IMHO.

Dave's guitar sounded decent with the Aldrich pickups, the bridge Aldrich sounded aggressive but the neck tones still didn't do it for me.

The necks feek KILLER on these Charvels. They are oil finished so if you are used to some satin or gloss finish on your guitars like the guitars listed in your sig have..... well they might not feel right to you. To a long time Charvel San Dimas freak like myself they feel like home. I have had no issues with the fret dressing on my two or any of the ones that came into my store so far..... about 30 so far.

I only bag on Vai when mentoneman has got my back and Pat's descriptions are so funny I get carried away. :D I don't "get" Vai. His playing doesn't connect with me. I would be a schmuck if I didn't admit that Vai has got absolutely sick technique. Plus no one else has ever made clavicle piercings look so cool.

Not to be just a blind Charvel huckster here, but the JB is Seymour Duncans #1 selling pickup and has been for more than 10 years. Their #2 pickup has been the '59. Charvel is loading this guitar with Seymour Duncan's best-selling pickups. I can't find any fault with that. But in agreement with danyeo here, I prefer swapping out the bridge pickup too but that's because I don't like Duncan JB's....... in ANYTHING!

Agreed about the feel, they feel great out of the box and only get better when da funk gets ground into the board. 0000 wooled mine once and let the finger oils do the rest.

One thing about these maple necks some may be forgetting and that is the change of climate, that neck is shrinking during the winter and fret end issues may occur. Very common no matter the guitar or price point.
