You wish you could pull off such a gimmick.

Ummmmm. No. No, I don't. :D

Let's see...keeping a multi-million dollar business going strong since the 70's???? You must be Bill Gates or Trump or something to make that ridiculous statement be legitimate. This band changed the music business and marketing. We could go on and on about gimmicks and whatnot...like them or not..the bottom line is Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons have had careers most people in the music business would never dream of. They are smart people who didnt end up like the majority of the musicians whose career has faded to obscurity ( i.e. the majority of your favorite hair metal acts from the eighties) Whats even more impressive was that they resurrected their careers after being knocked down a few pegs, and are now as huge as ever. Albums, books, movies, football teams, hotels, restaurants, race teams, ect. I dont know, dude...I wish I would have thought of their "gimmick"...so do you i think. I bet its better then being over 40 and still in a bar band.

Kiss is the most over rated band ever. They were good in the 70's (.) After that, horrible musicians but great businessmen.

I love 70's and early 80's Kiss but they do have some spotty periods. One of my favorite songs by them is actually off one of their shittier albums, Unmasked. I always loved the Elder and think they talk it down because it wasn't a financial success which is all they've cared about for decades. The guitar tones on The Elder just kill and of course the Ace song Dark Light not only grooves like a mutha, has one of his most smokin' solo's ever.

Ace's recent solo stuff has been pretty damn good too.

Paul Stanley is one of the best Rock n Roll frontmen and singers of all time.

Gene is a piece of work but got to nail Shannon Tweed for 30 years. Not too shabby.

Gene and Paul could stay at home and have other musicians go be "Kiss" and still sell out arenas.

Doesn't say much for the intelligence level of their fanbase.

Dude, the whole replace Ace and Peter thing is disgusting. I love their past but once they did that, have the guys do the same makeup like horrible Burt Reynolds stunt doubles, circa 1986, they were done for me. The people who show up to watch that bullshit are not fans. I don't get why they're not done doing that but people want to party I guess and don't give a shit about........"legacy"

.....You know, just like Steven Tyler.

Sure, if you don't mind Paul and Gene having zero principles and integrity, and whoring out the brand even more (if that's even possible) with imposters behind the original members makeup, then have a great time.

Doesn't bug me one bit. Yes they are greasy businessmen but in fairness, they gave Ace another shot and he blew it in the early 2000's. Peter Criss they screwed over. But Ace can't play Ace anymore so I am fine with it. Eric Singer is a total pro and an awesome live drummer so no issue there either. At this point, I would also replace Paul with a young Paul who can sing. KISS is not a band really, they are a production. Once you get that, you can enjoy the show.

I thought the album before the last album was pretty good really. They went back to their old roots and it sounded good. Songs were decent.
