5153 Amps Discontinued!??

Have any of you heard this or know if it's true? I've noticed that absolutely nobody has them in stock, and they are "claiming" they are getting some later this month.

A guy from The Music Zoo told me today that both the 50w & 100w Heads including the cabs have been discontinued. He says that is definitely the info he has in his system. The reason I called them is because I was trying to order a 50w and they only had 1 left in stock. He told me they had the new combos on order already, but that's all the new info he gave me.

I know that they have the new combo being announced at NAMM, but now I'm wondering what else they have to announce!
 
Find it very hard to believe given the sales volume, especially the 50 watter

I tend to agree that it doesn't make sense, but the dude on the phone was pretty confident. Who knows.....

Brad could certainly settle this!!! lol
 
It seems to me, the only way it could be discontinued is if they were releasing a new model that would replace it. But, I'd really find it hard to believe that they would just stop making it.

None of them have the 50w in stock, but there are some 100w available.

Obviously the You Tube video seems to discredit the Music Zoo guy, so whatever. I've bought the last white one from the Zoo for a great price anyway, so if anything else happens at Namm I can always return it if I want.
 
With the way the 50 watters are selling there's no way they would discontinue them.
 
Sometimes I wonder why I don't play gainier amps like the red channel on this thing. So much can be hidden behind that much gain and you hear it in a lot of what she does. Instead I like to earn the tone by making the right hand work harder. Totally out of place comment I know..

You should play the blue channel with the gain at about 10-11 o'clock. If you are an old Marshall guy like I think you are, I think you would dig it. I love these amps..... seriously.

And no way are they discontinued. Just sold out and out of stock at the factory.

Yeah that's their last black one. I bought the last white one & got a great price. I made sure it was made in Mexico, if that even makes any difference!

I'm at least happy that the dude thinks they are discontinued, because that's the reason he sold me a brand new one at 15% off with free shipping.
 
Aren't they about to release a combo version?? I seriously doubt they are being discontinued.

The 5155 is where the action is.....
should be out soon. Heard on the grid.....it release date is 2018.

Yup that's me. To be honest, from what i have heard, the blue channel is all i am interested in. Maybe the clean with gain up for crunch too. I think they should just release the "51Blue" for 799$ and call it a day.
 
Maybe they are going to release an EL34 version. Just wishful thinking.
