6505+ gain channel squeal.

Pre gain knob is at two or higher it gets this high pitched squeal…. Clean channel and crunch mode is fine… only on the gain channel. V2 need changed? V5? Anyone experienced this?

Fixed. V1 went microphonic on me. These ruby hg’s don’t work very well for me….

Long ago, there was a thread here about those Ruby HG pre. Grabbed a 83 2204 that was filled with them; amp sounded killer BUT those tubes started going bad in a week. By the second week all 3 were toast lol. No telling how old/many hours they had but that experience kept me away from those tubes going forward. Lol
