But....
Please notice that I didn't say that the first string would positively feel stiffer than the second. It is (positively) less compliant, but it may not feel that way to a musician.

and we also know that the strings with the longer extra length behind the bridge saddle should be more compliant.
As in the longer the string beyond the nut the looser it should feel. Not tighter.
But....
here again, no one that handled the apparatus could detect any difference in elasticity among the strings.
