Guitar into the Axe-Fx, into OD, comp, etc blocks, into fx loop block, out to fromt of the amp, amp's speaker out into Hot Plate, HP's line-out into Axe's fx return into delay/verb block into Atomic powered wedges.

Actually the axefx's "killer feature" is that it is really good at just about everything, and is so routable that you can actually do nearly everything you can think of.

I think it sounds great Ed. In your opinion, how different does the feel change for you compared to going through a real 12" speaker or speakers? I sometimes enjoy loading my Marshall sending the line out to my DAW but always miss that feel from a real speaker cab, even at low volumes, something the sims just can't do yet IMO but YMMV.

Well to me if I don't load the heads I don't dig 'em. Unless I can crank a JMP through a 4x12. If not it's gotta be loaded down into a power amp and cab...that said with those tube powered monitors I'm perfectly happy with speaker sims from the line out.
