Interesting stuff. I always thought he used Mesa amps for his pre-amps and I didn't remember him using Kramers. Always thought he was a Charvel guy. Interesting....Quite the setup.

I have a love/hate relationship with Vivian Campbell. When I was in high school in the mid-80's, he was one of my favorite guitarists. He had such dark sounding solos that really fit well with the stuff he was playing in DIO. After he left DIO, he started downplaying his years in the band and his ego swelled as he joined Whitesnake and Def Leppard. I know DIO's music was about dragons, etc. but that is what made that music great back then.

Recently he has tried to embrace a little of his DIO past and I feel for the guy with his recent cancer scare. I loved his tone on the first two DIO albums. He had the weird mids before a lot of other bands had them.
