I want to put a creamback into an evh 1x12

Since it'll most likely be used with an ISP stealth or similar at 8ohms, so should I go with an 8ohn speaker?

(I've never wired a cab before)

I'd prefer a 16ohm speaker as it could be mixed with other 16ohm speakers in a 4x12 in the future

so just checking what's optimal as I ma be making a mistake with the 16ohm speaker

Thanks!

It all depends on your amps. All my amps can run on 8ohms. Only half can run on 16 ohms, so for me I choose to have 8 ohm 112s. Its really up to what amps you have. You can always swap out the speaker can change, so it's not like its permanent.

I use two 1x12s with 8 ohm EV speakers
But those are mostly for Fender amps
When I play a 4 ohm amp, running those 2 1x12s in parallel gives me a huge sound
Like it's been said, depends on your amps and other cabs

16 ohm speaker will be fine for 8 ohm setting, you'll just lose a bit of overall output. Alternatively you could throw an 8 ohm resistor in parallel with the 16ohm speaker in the cab to get 8 ohms.
