A bit off topic; but experience with Bluetooth speakers?

I bought one of these that I use for a practice amp using various ipad modeling apps and as a bluetooth speaker, works great for both. I bought mine through amazon for $199 but the price seems to have gone back up to the usual $250 now.

How is the latency? I was looking for something like this to use with BIAS with my phone, but folks at TGP said the latency with a Bluetooth speaker would be awful.

When used with a guitar and BIAS (that and jamup are what I mostly use with it) the ipad is plugged into the speaker via a supplied cable and the guitar plugged into the speaker via a typical 1/4" cable too. So there's no latency that I can notice since it's not really wireless, just wireless in terms of running off battery power. The only time it's used as a fully wireless speaker is via bluetooth streaming music or video audio from a phone, tablet or computer.

I've got a UE Mini Boom, love it. Great sound quality, pretty loud for being small and portable, long battery charge. I've been using it every day since I got it last October for music and a ton of podcasts.

You can pair it with another one for true stereo, which is pretty cool. They've got a larger model as well.
