I voted B on just the DI's, but when I ran it through some amp software with impulses, C sounded better than all of them, it was clearer, and I think would sit better in a mix.

BTW, what is the point of this really? Just cause a DI sounds a certain way doesn't mean it will translate well or poorly when reamped. To me cleans always sound better/fuller from a neck PU. With high gain the neck PU sounds muddy playing rhythm. I voted B but reamped will probably sound like POOP!

There's no point at all. I just did this so people could pick their favorite and I'm never going to tell them the variable changed in the chain.

  come on dude you gotta give up the goods :D

I went with B. out of the 3 A was more brite and kinda harshish to me. C was good but I liked something about B, So.

Nice response. Having a bad day today? Just asked a straight forward question based on what DIs sound like to me. People take shit so personal on forums  . Sorry I asked you a question, I'll bow out now...

You added a Dumble in the signal path. I knew it. B is my pick as well.

You're just trollin' dude. I said after 50 votes I would reveal the answer as to what was changed. The point of this entire test is obviously how variable X makes a difference in the tonality of the guitar DI. What else could it possibly be?

Also saying that anything in this test reamped will sound like "POOP!" isn't exactly polite.

It's a clip comparison of three pieces of gear. God forbid somebody provide actual sound evidence (pun intended?) rather than just sit on our asses and TALK about gear all day he gets jumped on and questioned.

Hmm, my ears feel shot right now, but...
A-seems the brightest
B-overall most balanced, but warmer than A
C- has a mid bump.

I'm just listening to the dry DI's, so listening that way I'm torn between A & B. I like the high end bite in A, but also dig the slightly fuller B. I'm going with B cause you could always dig in & get a little more bite.

I'm guessing you're changing picks.

i thought picks too. and agreed with the a,b,c interpretation.

pick or cord?

i also notice a light flanging sound on the clips too. it may be my computer though. sounds slightly watery..almost undetectable.

I liked A best. B seemed darker and C seemed darker yet to me

FWIW, I voted A, but it would appear this is going to be a long wait for the reveal; we're at 27 votes, and I'm curious :)

Couldn't really hear much between A and B but C was definitely different...that said my ears are shot!
