So I have an LTD mh400 from 2004 that I picked up almost 2 years ago, I love it, it's great considering what I payed, and IMO a better rounded guitar than some of the newer ones with thinner necks and bodies.
But anyway.. the saddles have worn away so occasionally, if I hit a big bend, which I do often, the string will be pulled away from the bridge, simply slipping out, the saddle has formed grooves from the strings. I replaced the whole set of saddles with some lic floyd rose parts that cost me £6 each, and last night, the G string slipped out, and when I put the string back in and tightened the strings, it did it again, I swapped the G and D string saddles over, put the strings back in and it was fine, but today, the D string popped out, not even when I was playing, I heard a famillier twang, looked over at my guitar and saw it.
Now.. I could buy an OFR low pro for £220 from GAK.com or take the chance on a more expensive licenced FR LoPro from here http://www.guitarpartsworldwide.com/?p= ... 1002143061
This site also stocks the Gotoh floyd rose that I've heard is very good, but they do not do the LoPro version, assuming the post-post and E-e saddle measurements are the same, will it retrofit, actually, will I be able to retrofit any bridge other than the ESP/LTD lic one? I don't need a bridge to be able to pull up on by the way, I've never had a desire to do so, I don't do whammy tricks but some nice light vibrato would be nice for chords.
I would just buy a set of saddles from FR but I cannot find them anywhere in the LoPro version. I have no preference about standard or lo pro by the way.
any tips/suggestions would be greatly apreciated.
