I like hi-gainers, sure a good clean channel is ok...but I buy amps based on their high gain tones. If that isn't your thing - that's ok with me too - Dumble on Wayward Son. I recently picked up a Helios, 6505+, ENGL Invader 150, and a MkV - and also a new Helios cab (in the middle). To my ears these amps hold their own for high gain stuff. They all have a great low end thump and are fun to play.

Nice rig! I too like the high gain amps, rarely play cleans. Still need to get a 5150 again!

Cool!
I recently picked up a 6505+ and can honestly say I like it as much as anything I've had or played. Killer tones.

yeah, it's hard to beat a 6505 for heavy tones, crunch channel boosted and lead channel boosted are crushing!

Way cool setup! I am in Plano TX. If you get into my area let me know, and you can stop buy try some of my collection of high gainers.

That tiny pedalboard sticks out the most to me.
3 boosts and a delay, don't need much else :gethim:

Nice rigs!!!! I love the high gain amps but also love a great clean channel.

Oh yeah, i love high gain amps. Nice rig you got going on there.

One amp i really love lately is the 6534+, that thing rips man. I have it for sale but i changed my mind!!!!!! Sounds too damn good. And the price is ridiculously low for what you get.

I have a couple more, but they're 1590A sized.

I know the OD808 KSE version will be going on there whenever it's done. Maybe I'll need a bigger board for more boosts, or a shrink ray.

How do you like the scumback pairing with the v30's?

It's killer, the J75 have a great punch to them and balance well with the V30. Jim says this is their best combo for heavier tones.

Don't tell me stuff like that! It empties my pocketbook lol, I definitely want to try more speaker variations going forward. Just got some K-100's, I think they would pair well with v30's or t75's, and sound like monsters alone. I've often thought about mixing something up with my Texas heats also
