A man, his JCM800, Les Paul w/EMGs and a Boss SD-1..........circa 1993 can you guess who I am?

I don't care what anyone says about Wylde, he was the shit when NRFTW and NMT came out. He had to have helped boost the sales of LPs along with Slash, and EMGs along with Metallica.

Him and McCready are why I found an old JH4S Rotovibe. Love it. Shitty bypass. Not as throbby or detailed as the best vibes. But its one of the sounds of the 90s, and nothing else quite does what it does.

I gotta have more throb!

The parking lot concert is totally awesome. Seen him live earlier this year, he's still incredible, no matter what the haters say. My favorite guitarist right now ! Of course, I like also Holdsworth, Greg Howe, Nuno, Malmsteen etc. but they are either dead or old or inactive. Zakk is still a musical force to be reckoned with !

JCM 800 + SD-1 = Just about every 80s hair / metal guiatist's rig back in the 80s /90s. What an original sound. LOL
Cool videos! Thanks for sharing.

I especially love the Pride and Glory album. Pure gold. Horse called war is my favorite solo and it's probably the easiest to learn. He really found his feel on that album. Yes even great lower gain tones with a Marshall 2203 EMG's into an SD1. It is the anti TGP rig. Lol

in 1989 on tour with Ozzy and geezer and Randy zakk was at peak technique . He dominated and knew every note he played and just picked like mad and hard . Thats my fav zakk . But you’re right he was so good in 93 . And it’s before he became this like court jester clown persona he has now. I love this video . What’s weird is I hadn’t really been into zakk . But last 2 weeks after Ozzy died he’s become a fav again . I see now how much he influenced me

Got it, and bonus if you're familiar with the picture disk.

Were the hair metal dudes using 2203's or the channel switching JCM 800s?
2203s & 2204's of course. My fist Marshall was a channel switching 2205 and it was pretty cool. Kinda buzzy sounding but I didn't know much about Marshall or amps in general back then. I traded that for a 1974 Superlead. Had that for decades as my main amp. Now I have a 2203 and that rips!
