A rare political Japetus post

If available i will watch it. I'll be thinking of the 13 innocent people (fellow soldiers) he murdered and the 32 others he tried to kill but only put them in the hospital. And the fact that for almost 17 years he has continued to be fed and clothed by taxpayers as he wishes he could have killed more.
It's a travesty this has gone on for so long. When those bullets hit his chest I (and many others) can say "it's finally over, done!"

I would also watch the monster who killed the Ukranian girl on the subway in NC hung, drawn, and quartered on livestream, although that's a different situation. I'd volunteer to help the team complete the task for either case.

A literal TRAITOR of the magnitude of Hasan should always die swiftly and a message should be sent each time. There is no justification to allow one to live comfortably in an air conditioned prison cell with free food, maybe even have an occasional sympathetic CNN interview as sometimes happens for notorious killers, etc. We used to routinely execute traitors in the old days, including the Rosenbergs. Today, the Rosenbergs would get fanmail and early release from prison, and possibly a regular guest contract with CNN, et al, instead of Old Sparky. ⚡⚡

Lol so again...... livestreaming is barbarian...... which is my opinion....... which will bring nothing good...... my opinion again..... terrorists feelings won't be an issue if not live streamed.... but that is also my opinion.
Not to mention, the guy wants to be a martyr. Before they announced this sideshow, everyone had pretty much forgotten him. I know I didn't know the name Nidal Hasan before Kegsbreath announced the livestreamed execution. So, the brilliant US administration is A)Giving him what he wants
B)Inspiring others like him
C)Sending the message to the world that the US are bloodthirsty savages.

He was already a hero to people who hate the United States (anybody know any of those who post often??). He won't be meeting any virgins anywhere. And nothing that remains in this world is available to him or has meaning to him now, other than Death. Too bad this wasn't done 16 years ago.

So you're anti-abortion then since it too is killing a human?
I'm anti live-stream abortion. If you want to bring the abortion red-herring into the discussion, do it properly.
That's is why I have no respect for anti death penalty leftist viewpoints.
And, this is why I question those Christians who pick and choose which parts of Christianity they follow and which they conveniently ignore. If you're anti abortion because you believe it is taking a life, then you must be, by default anti death penalty if you want to be consistent with all the teachings of the Bible. Not just the easy parts.

I'll add this last part for the crowd of hecklers in the bleachers. See, this is why Von and I can disagree to our core about some issues but I still respect him and don't think less of him, and don't dislike him.

Which part did I conveniently ignore? Taken as a whole, scripture supports the death penalty for murderers but it does not support abortion in spite of non-christians picking and choosing what they will believe.

  • Exodus 21:12: "He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death."

The 6th commandment is what I was referring to.

Looks like, from your quote, that the bible contradicts itself. As I said some time ago, I defer to you when it comes to the tenets of Christianity. So in the pursuit of learning a little, I'll ask "How is this contradiction handled by Christianity?". And, "Does the Bible specifically speak about abortion?

"thou shalt not kill" is just a bad translation.

"Original Hebrew: The verse uses the root word ratsakh, which generally refers to the unauthorized, violent, or wrongful taking of a human life, covering both intentional murder and accidental manslaughter"

I would suggest abortion is covered under "wrongful taking of human life" especially considering the vast majority of abortions are done for convenience.

Exodus 21:22-25

22 “If people are fighting and hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely[a] but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman’s husband demands and the court allows. 23 But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise.

Exodus doesn't sound like an abortion though. More like battery causing miscarriage.

Well, as to "wrongful taking" I guess we're at the point where we ask "when does life begin?". I'm not locked into my opinion but I'd say when the fetus is viable. I'm assuming you'd say at the moment of conception. Correct me if I assume wrong.

Yes, I do. So does the law since if a woman is murdered and the baby dies it's a double murder charge.

The law and morality only agree when it's by coincidence.

Example? Until Sept 1 2024 in New York you had to penetrate with a woman with your penis for it to legally be called rape. I happen to know this little fact because I got into a debate with a lawyer about the Trump rape case. I maintained it was rape he said it wasn't because of the way the law was written. I told him these word games are why people hate lawyers.
