I used to be a mod at rivers of gore, and in my ~20 years of forum use that's the only site I've ever hit 1,000 posts on lol. I don't really see how a few of these reprobates spamming the ever loving christ out of the general forums to come act like idiots here helps anyone either...

I think one impressive thing about this site is that all the bullshit largely stays in the OTC section. I see very little if any of it carry in to the actual gear talk.(perhaps largely thanks to the mod staff).

Combine that with the warning “abandon all hope ye who enter here” at the header page, and I find myself having trouble complaining about the content.

Sure I wish there was more easy going conversation going on, and less repetitive shit post spamming, but unfortunately this is the internet and if people are allowed to post almost anything, people will post almost anything.

It's basically been dead since 2012. Phil came out of the woodworks after a deployment in 2014 - iirc, and asked me to help him keep it going, then one day he just disappeared off the face of the planet. Yahoo kept getting their money from him until 2016, then one day all my admin login got me was a no-acess message and options to pay lol. Wherever that twisted cunt wound up, I hope he's doing well.

I use a VPN on everything and technically have 2 ISPs not including my cell phone.

You can take my word for it that I don't use alt accounts. Never have. Pussy move if you ask me - especially on a guitar site with a bunch of older men. Meh.

Yep. The behavioural guidelines obviously don't apply in this section, hence the warning.

If someone "innocently" wanders into the sub-forum and is surprised by what he or she sees / reads, that's naivety.
