Aaaarrrgh slow shipper on reverb!!

I would politely just tell him either provide tracking by such and such date or refund you your payment. If that doesnt motivate him than file a claim with Reverb.

I would state the above but also quote the 72hr policy from Reverb

Yep... had this same thing happen to me this week, and the above is exactly how I handled it. The seller finally shipped about 2 hours before the 72-hour Reverb deadline. We'll see what it looks like when it gets here.

My experience with reverb is if your a new seller they hold your funds till the buyer receives the item. Once you have sold a piece or 2 its immediate pmt. Not even having a box for it yet is inexcusable.
Its been almost a week ,if it ever gets there leave negative feedback .

The seller DOES NOT get paid until tracking is provided with Reverb checkout. Reverb pays you, not Paypal. But, I believe the seller has to be set up for Reverb checkout, with his bank account linked to it. Atleast that's how my store is set up. I'm not sure if you're required to do so.

I've done 94 deals on Reverb. From what you're describing, this seller is a class-A fuckhead. I would have lost my patience yesterday. I'd demand a tracking number or refund by day's end tomorrow, and not leave it up for discussion. This is why I save boxes. If I take more than 24 hours to ship an item, it's a fluke. I hate people that pull this shit, and it almost always doesn't end well. Looking for a box 4 days later is bullshit.

I woke up and requested either a tracking number, or a full refund by the end of the business day. Fuck it. It’s was one of the dime stealths I’ve been wanting too. Sucks.

I sold an amp Tuesday night, and yesterday made a trip to the UPS store and bought a box. Shipped later that day. I had a rack unit that I bought a month ago and no tracking, no tracking...politely asked when and they told me 2 wks....they were on vacation. I asked for a refund and got one.

Exactly. I don't pack until it sells, in case people need to ask more questions etc, but I have a box 99% of the time or guess what? You just won! I'll take it straight to the UPS store and pay them extra to pro pack it. Always goes out within a day, usually the same day if the store is open.

I requested a refund, but the dude then called me within the 24hr period, and apologized for the delay, and sounded really straight up, and said he would have a tracking number by the end of the day if I could cancel the refund. Excuses are excuses, but the dude Wasnt being a dick, and knew he was at fault, so here’s hoping me not being an asshole pays off hahahah. I told him I appreciated him calling me and telling me what was going on, and that next time he should have some packing materials ready to go.

Damn thats a nice Stealth,I am not sure how I would handle your situation wanting that exact guitar that would be a bitch waiting ! When I buy off Reverb,only 16 purchases they always seem to take longer to ship the items out,way longer that Ebay..I bought a pedal off Reverb 6 weeks ago and the guys ad says will ship quick,so I wanted the pedal and purchased it,6-7 days later and nothing,no tracking # or communication,so I sent 1 nice message asking if I can get any kind of info and the guy said he was on vacation from work and it would be another 7-10 days and I immediately messaged him back letting him know thats Bullshit and wanted a refund or tracking info next morning,so the guy sent me tracking number late the next day..I guess maybe a lot more people that sell on Ebay do it for a living and want that 5 star excellent feedback ? sorry to hijack your thread here,it just pisses me off hearing other people going through big hassles to get what they bought and paid for.

I've only bought a few things on reverb and the transactions didn't go particularly well.

The last one was a slow shipper. I bought the item on a Sunday then got notification that my item had shipped Wednesday.

Tracking wasn't updated until late Friday, and it said the item wasn't even dropped off at Fedex until after 5pm on Friday. Item actually left Fedex Monday and I received it Thursday.

Most of my ebay items arrive in 2 to 4 days. Sweetwater and Summit Racing are 2 to 3 days tops.

Oh yeah man. I bought a KXK and the truss rod was broken but he had glued the nut so it seemed to work. If I went to try to adjust it, it would seem like it had tension. Didn't find out it was broken until after the Reverb 7 day period. Reverb did nothing.

AND I had a guy hit me up on a guitar, wanting to trade me for it and add cash, ($500). This guitar had some marks in the paint from the factory, and even the builder acknowledged it. He sent me $500 on a $3k guitar, waited until he got mine, said it was "destroyed",(it wasn't, it had a couple paint runs on the back that I told him and showed him clearly, it was also the builder's former personal guitar and he told the buyer too) reversed the shipment on his, and wouldn't send me my guitar back for 3-4 months until I returned his cash. I looked him up and he worked right across the street from a UPS store. Threatened to sue me, smear me on forums, etc. I finally refunded his money, and he literally dropped the guitar at the UPS store, in a case, unpacked, with no information on it and left. The only way I got it back was because I told the builder about this and the builder himself called the guy out. Douchebag is STILL on TGP. Said if I ever brought up his name he would sue me. Reverb did nothing.

I didn't get paid until a few days after putting tracking. After about a day after tracking info is uploaded, they initiate the payment. Then, the payment comes into my bank account in about 48 hours.

I've sold maybe 10 items on Reverb and not a lot within a small period of time, thus probably the delay.

I did. Supposed to be here by Thursday. Gonna wait til I see it in person before leaving scathing criticism as his review I guess. I was kind of an idiot, and didn’t even read his reviews. Just saw he had a decent amount of transactions, jumped on it as it was a good deal. Then went back and people had said the he was a slow shipper. Just bullshit, but still hoping it wands well.
