about to send money order then saw member is gone?

I went to my message section and I was going to message a member that I was putting it in the mail in minutes. I got to my mail here on rig talk and it says no longer registered user??? needless to say, I wont be sending the money order. wonder what happened? too bad, I really wanted one of his multi fx units.

should I post his name? if I sent the money order a day earlier I would have had no way to contact with him. I was even considering sending straight cash because I heard when you deposit a usps money order in your bank account it can take 3 weeks to clear. that would have sucked if I sent payment. I would not have been happy if I discovered I sent payment to someone who is no longer a registered member.
 
You should probably post who it is so no one else has the same problem. PSA and all that good stuff.
 
his rigtalk name is pfapin05. perhaps it is a system error that eliminated his membership? bummer, I wanted to buy a lexicon mpx g2 from him. anyone have a nicer multi fx unit they want to sell, let me know I am in the marker for one, it is crucial that the delays and reverbs are top form.

He's been behaving erratically and at odds with Scumback speakers. Done fine deals with him though.
 
Yeah... he had a few episodes a bit back....not sure if he's legit or not but he pops up here alot so I would think he is. He actually just tried to sell me a Diezel 4x12 when I put a thread out wanting an empty 4x12...this was on TGP. Found out it was frontloaded so I didn't go for it.. then I saw that he had like 5 different posts on rigtalk for 'for sale' items.. and the Diezel 4x12 wasn't one of them... and all he had for sale on rigtalk, wasn't listed on TGP??? Hmmmm..... Im by no means saying he isn't legit... I will always give people the benefit of the doubt..... just seems alot of 'hmmms' surrounding his name. Hope it all works out for you. You are a good dude and I can honestly say in 4 years of being a rigtalk bro, no one here has ever treated me wrong in the slightest way. Cheers

You need to read the buyer/seller feedback section before making a purchase. I had a very bad experience with him about 2 years ago with a very expensive item. Many other users have as well - only a handful have came through though.

He even created a fake username to try and continue selling under another moniker. Another member on RT notified me, and I then notified our administrator.

He was put on a 2 week ban awhile back, in the past week he was spamming the forum with a guest account saying crazy things and causing a ton of work for me to clean up. He has been banned for the forum and his IP blocked.

thanks for letting me know. it seemed shady. I am glad I did not send the cash. I looked at the buyer feedback area and he had some issues for sure. too bad, he had a lexicon m px g2 up. they are supposed to be great units, but hard to program.
 
anytime someone asks for a money order with gear trading can only mean one thing.....they have had their PayPal account put on hold.

Unless you have a free 6 months to learn how to program it...
 
You should only ever send money orders to people you trust with tons of feedback, even then, there is no reason to really use one instead of a bank wire or PayPal.
