which is the better choice as a sub for a clean fender amp in a rig

ADA.
The Tube clean with chorus is LOVELY (built-in chorus), and the SS clean is tight and nice.

coooooooool

it was the end of the world for me....even thinking about a pod ;)

ADA MP1 if it's working well can do really nice cleans in the Tube section.

Some guys have improved the tube cleans on MP1 even more by using a 12Au7 or 12ay7 in one of the slots to get more clean headroom in tube clean.

Nobody fully gets this - but for recording I use a noise modded MP1 INTO a POD XT - with the Modeling OFF , just the CAB IMPULSES and efx- it makes a great direct box that way and the Tubes sound like the Real Thing because they ARE.

I get Plexi and medium gain tube tones that are very very good this way, when I have original product to sell- there will be posted vids in about 6 Months to a year. And I'll note which tracks done this way.

Killer cleans are also available from the old Hughes @ Kettnet Tubeman - not sure about the newer ones - my old black one does a bunch of very warm , clean Fender tones- into Cab Impulses - very hard to tell it's not a Miced Fender or some clean tube amp.

The Demos Online of the ADA MP1 ( most of them ) made it sound like a buzzy, fuzzy , fizzy , overgained mess but guys on some of the Forums convinced me you can get quality tones out of these, and they were right- only had it about 6 months .
