I have been living in Canada for three years now and I am almost shocked by how big a deal environmentalism is here, it might bring down the Harper government and is helping refuel the Quebec issue while in the US its Man-Bear-Pig huh huh huh.

Al Gore is waaaay full of shit, I think he really has mental problems, like a christ complex. He so much believes that he must save the world from something that he doesn't mind one bit creating a bullshit crisis in order to be the one that saves us. This planet has been heating up and cooling down long before we were ever here, it's highly arrogant of man to think that we have that much control imo. I'm sure burning fossil fuels isn't good for the planet and I think it's great if people are aware of the environment and try to recycle etc. but Al Gore is a lying jerk off. The private jets he flys his fat ass around in pollute more than everyone in this forum's vehicles combined, if he was for real he'd ride a bike everywhere like Ralph Nader, he could use the workout anyway.

He doesn't have CLOSE to a Christ complex. He is pretty low-key as far as people like that go. He put his info out there in a way that was well presented and well argued.

Bottom line is people just don't want to hear what he's got to say so they just hate on the man.

And for the record, I don't think the Nobel Peace Prize should have been awarded to him.

He ignores plenty of science that utterly disproves all of the bs he's pushing. Maybe you should try a little reading comprehension then. This thing about the huge percentage of scientists that agree with Al is really funny, you see scientists need funding and grants to keep labs going. Well they could agree with one of the biggest blow hards around and get plenty of funding thrown right to them from Al's cronies or they can disagree and get jack. And there are plenty of scientists out there who are experts in their field who have come out and disproven Al's bs, if you would turn off the tv and dig a little bit I'm sure you could find some of it. Here's a hint, look for an article about the drilling for core sample's at the south pole that shows ice records that go back thousands of years. That article was written by a climate expert who has been studying it his whole life, but I'm sure Al knows more than he does.
