Just thought i'd share a quick clip of song I tracked today with the Friedman BE100. I was hoping the Cantrell would be out before we started tracking but its not so went with the BE100. Got great tone…nice and heavy :) This is just a couple clips I put together from the song…we left the bass scratch track in very low for reference …this is just for checking out the guitar tones. Not even close to mix ready. I just thought i'd post a quick clip for Friedman fans. https://soundcloud.com/deftone-d/new-al ... 00-guitars

Sounds beastly even thru iPad speakers - will have to check out later on real speakers!

Sounds killer d00d!!!
What speakers was that through?
What mics did you use and how were they placed ... if you don't mind me asking.

Thanks guys….. Tracked through Chandler LTD1 preamp…. with a Mesa 4x12 and 2x12…. Both sounded amazing. The mics were a SM57 and an MD421. The exact positioning of mics was the 57 up against screen of speaker cab of the 4x12, on the edge where cap meets cone. The 421 was positioned close to the same way on the 2x12. We made small adjustments on the 421 to find a good balance with the mixing of the 421 and 57. The Friedman is just a monster!!! I've played almost every high end amp and the Friedmans are among the top.

Sounds GREAT man. Bet the final mix will sound super good. Really tight guitar tracks. I have my Mesa 4x12 for sale to fund a Friedman 4x12. But if I played more metal I'd keep the Mesa. I like the cut of the Greenbacks and V30 mix. The Mesa sounds super good with your band though.
