that's the thing, I would use them in a heart beat as there are some amazing finishes on necks there but then there are the necks that become completely unusable. There has to be consistent builders on there though.. I am assuming the ones with good ratings and a bit pricier necks are going to be more reliable but you never know. I think they know the cost of shipping back isn't worth most people's trouble and they say screw it and use it as firewood.

I just shot him a message to see if there’s a builder in particular he goes for, I’ll hit ya back with his answer.

Looks to be about 40 min from my place.. I should see if he has a private shop so Reverb can't take their cut for " the man". Thanks for the suggestion.
Yeah i think they are in Carleton. I remember seeing his stuff for sale somewhere else. I think it was ebay.
I think at one time and maybe still today....they were made in China. All i know is the one that i got was great. It's the one in pics above blue 5150 with banana headstock.

Why not check out Palermo guitars in Canada.........He seems to build very nice guitars from the feedback I've seen. He builds a Franky model, I thought his prices were somewhat reasonable compared to a Warmoth build. I just looked at the current prices...yikes...... Just a thought since you are up in Canada. Well I guess your back to a musikraft Franky................

They are really nice guitars but they are absolutely ridiculously priced for that design. Ridiculous.

I'm in Ottawa actually. That guitar is a beauty but I think I want to be able to work on my next one and put it together vs buying it done. I have some spare electronics, pickups and a reverse headstock neck and am looking at trying my hand at something relic'd. It would appear that poly bodies are not ideal for this and Nitro is what you want for anything relic so i will likely be spraying it myself in the spring given that people tend to want a lot for a nitro body.

You could probably get top american dollar for that warmoth though.. deal for them, good money for you!

Yeah I will probably put it up for sale some day. Not in a rush. I have too many guitars now so want to thin it down a bit. Hard to choose which ones to sell!

There is a guy selling a project made frankenstrat in Ottawa on Kijiji for $850. Has original floyd and duncan 59 pickups. Looks like he didn't apply grain filler before he painted it though.

I saw that one and thought for the parts it looked like a decent deal but as you mentioned, I suspect a lot of people are noticing the blotchy paint job because he didn't apply filler or seal it before painting on top. Such a rookie move which hurts the value of his sale. People need to realize that the paint job is perhaps the most important part of these builds. That would bug me over time looking down at that.
