...happy story :)

I'm john and I'm from portugal! Cheers to all of you!!

Just want to share with you guys that, after some time searching and considering some options that the world of guitar amps give us including Axe Fx's type of amps, I decided to go for an Einstein 50wH!! I always had a kind of intuition for amps made by Diezel and I couldn't be more happy with the amp.

It was a little turbulent purchase from ebay, but today it arrived and I played with it 2 hours and it seems to be everything ok, apart from one little thing that I would like to ask your opinions about: the thing is that the amp (the outside part as well) start to become hot progressively, what I think it's normal, but by the end of the 2 hours even the grid where the Diezel logo is, was really really hot! It's that normal? I hope so, because the sound was really really good!!!

I'm impressed, and I want to give Mr. Peter Diezel my sincere congratulations for the wonderful job that he does (including, of course, the unique support here on the forum in all questions). It's an inspiration!

By the way Mr. Peter, can you please tell me why it says on the back "Best regards, Stefany" (i think!). Serial 002/232!

I'm really proud to be part of the Diezel family. ;)

Thanks for all your time reading this.

Peace,

john

Hello John, welcome aboard !

Yes, it is normal for the tubes to become very hot the longer you play them, then the head shell gets quite warm and the back pannel can get hot as well (metal). How hot is hard to describe. You should re-bias the power tubes, they might just be set wrongly. Depending on the type of power tubes you have installed the current hast to be adjusted properly.

Since it is a used amp you don't know how old the tubes are, so I would change all of them soon. You can order a set from Diezel in Germany. If they are out of power tubes get at least a preamp tube set.

Your amp was signed by Diezel technician Stefan. Every technician signs the amp he/she assembles.

Cheers,

Jens Kruse

Thanks a lot for the answer Jens!

You are right about the tubes. The seller said that he changed all including the preamp tubes this year, but I will be more rested if I change them. I will do that later in the month, and will contact Diezel in Germany.

P.s. I think I will need a little help to change the tubes, and I will bother you then if you don't mind!!

Thanks
