Amazed at Vito's playing on this video.

I've read that he and Eddie were friends, and that a fan thought Vito was Eddie, while they were talking. They both played along.

I always thought Vito was more melodic that EVH too. Bratta came outta nowhere in the 80's, raised holy hell then disappeared.

Slightly off-topic...

The opening riff in "All You Need Is Rock & Roll" is one of my all-time 80's favorites. The rest of the song is pretty generic and disappointing. A great riff wasted... IMHO

awful music that sounds dated and hackneyed the day it came out

Lorenzo was underrated too. I hated how Tramp sang live, saw them open for Kiss on their first album. Crazy Nights tour. Yes, I'm old.
I saw that tour.....but King Kobra opened for Kiss when they came in my town. Rather of seen White Lion 100 times over though.

This sounds a bit like Vito's tone from the concert.

The fact Vito is being talked about in the same sentence as Eddie (25 years after the fact) shows he made a pretty good impact. I loved his playing at the time and still appreciate it. He was very melodic....something so much of us are missing (including myself)...probably why we distract ourselves chasing tone. lol

he was a Ada Mp-1 user right? trying to remember?
I bought a one for that reason and was copping some tone REALLY CLOSE with the ADA.
That was a pretty decent unit for that tone. Used it for about 10 years. Sold it on Ebay for more then I paid for it.

I've never listened to Vito play before, but I can understand the EVH reference. He has obviously coppied Ed, too much I think.

To me he was like a Mix of EVH with Lynch....and little Nuno. I loved his playing! He was one of the top guns back in the day for sure.
