... I never knew the QR couldn't do leads, all the Splawn's I have played sounded sick, but I am not sure if I played a QR

There have been rumors floating around the interwebz that if you try to play a lead on a Splawn, the call you an asshole and immediately turn off. I had to get mine specially modded to stay on for single note shit.
However, if you listen carefully, you can still hear the amp muttering "asshole"... they couldn't get it to stop entirely.

Keep getting sideways dog looks from my bass player and I just shrug.

I've been eyeing up tele's too...
I went to GC to get some strings and stuff and all I did was look at teles... something wrong with me... LOL!

Check out the road worn tele...I think it's killer. I played at least 15 tele's (some really expensive ones) back to back at a store for at least an hour and it stepped on all of them.
With the finish worn off the neck it feels like home and the pickups are fantastic with that body.
