I've really gone to the dark side...been using a tele lately on gigs. During hard rock songs I'm throwing in all these country licks because they sound so good on a tele.
Keep getting sideways dog looks from my bass player and I just shrug.

I went to GC to get some strings and stuff and all I did was look at teles... something wrong with me... LOL!

Check out the road worn tele...I think it's killer. I played at least 15 tele's (some really expensive ones) back to back at a store for at least an hour and it stepped on all of them.
With the finish worn off the neck it feels like home and the pickups are fantastic with that body.

I trashed a strat last summer, took a chisel and sandpaper to it, then dropped my keys continuously on it....need to finish it off with a heat gun. My neighbor came by the backyard as I was rubbing the body on my back cement patio stones....his face!

I was just busting his chops. I owned a QR for a while and thought it was cool. I will say it didn't agree with my cab loaded with V30s. I think the Street Rod sounds awesome!

That was not directed at you either btw. It was a general quote about Splawn amp users, like every topic they themselves bring up weird mids, or some other complaint they have heard. I think Splawn's are great amps, just never understood the hypersensitive users sometimes.

Honestly? the whole splawn police thing is bullshit. Especially on this board where there's like 3 or 4 of us. So which one of us is being a dick about this?

Those are the only guys I know of on this board that own a Quickrod or Splawn. So where's the issue? Honestly, you can't have a conversation about any Splawn with it turning into a shit-storm or it being largely ignored. I don't know why that is. If it's not the weird mids, it's the stiffness. If it's not the stiffness it's the religious writing inside the chassis. What other amp gets that much shit for nothing?

You know what? I played a Revolution a few years ago at GC, it sounded really good! I posted my findings on here...
The presence knob is crazy, but once you figure out how to dial it in, it sounded really good to me.
