So One of the pedals I've been working on is my take on the preamp of the infamous Ampeg VH140C. I've been having problems getting the pedal to where I want it to be (noise has been a recurring issue) and I'm now on my 4th iteration of the PCB. I think this time, I've got it though. I made some clips and a quick youtube video of the circuit in it's possible final form.

Heres a quick vid I made of the newest version. I DIMED all the controls just to make sure that the noise issue was solved, and it seems like it did the trick.

All Clips were done with my buddies 7 String RG, with an EMG 707 in the bridge. B Standard tuning. The amp is my Sunn Coliseum Slave, just to try and get the cleanest sound possible. Cab is my Mesa Recto 4x12, with old Fanes and V30's in an X pattern. The mics are SM57's on one of the Fanes.

The video is just my iPad. I start with the mids totally scooped, as this was a common usage for the VH140C. I then turn the mids up about halfway.

I decided To also record some actual clips using my new handy Wilkinson "Fredman" Mic clip. I think the clips came out pretty sweet!

I did one clip with regular EQ settings;

And I also did one with scooped mids;

Whatcha guys think?

Definitely sounding closer to the real thing than the Amptweaker Tight Metal. How much is it going to be?

Shooting for between 150-200$. It fits in a 1590BB sized enclosure. I was hoping to topmount the jacks, but I don't think that going to work out.
