anyone have experience with this amp. apparently jcm800 hot rodded sound...with ability to run kt88s?!

find out if the heaters have been fixed. i sent my VL too lee and he fixxed that plus bias and re tubed it. tung sol 6550s' and 12ax7s'. mine was a ebay amp that was abused. no reverb pan, missing knobs. magic was worked and it works great 
.i paid 300 for the amp, and 412.00 too give it life again. i hope this helps.

Ive had 4 lee modded one for me and one was FJA..
and 1 was brand new,ahhhhhh I remember the 90s

I remember reading an article where Lee Jackson didn't have many good things to say about those Ampegs
I say go with the original - where theres no "issues" to be fixed
in fact, theres a few on Ebay right now !

I never had or heard one of the Ampegs. I did own a Metaltronix M-1000.
It sounded pretty good. Didnt blow me away though so it was soon out the door!
I sold it to buy a Splawn Nitro. Which was a little better but that one soon found its way SOLD as well......

That is probably the amp I owned for the least amount of time.
I think it was flipped within a week. I had one of the 1st ones made. Knew it wasnt what I was looking for and just wanted to sell it fast to keep the re-sale high. Sold it for exactly what I paid for it.
Think I saw the same amp back on Ebay about a month later.
