Thanks, I appreciate it. I did join the forum mainly to participate in these trade offs to git gud, so I hope you guys don't mind but I'll be stealing more licks lol. I'll also appreciate any specific and constructive criticism playing and recording wise (yes I'm aware I'm quite sloppy and am dragging behind the beat; it's usually the first and one straight take to emulate playing live when there are no backsies). I do enjoy when people go back and forth on tracks, always something to learn how others might approach it.
For the next track:
Not quite neo soul but bout 10 years later from it, closer to vapor wave which is yet another genre revival in a similar vein.

Thank you. Aye the synth was the intended effect with the sleazy 80's vibe. A quad cortex with either of these patches, I forgot which exactly. I've cut out the noise gate, split the signal one going to a tube combo to monitor without IR and pray for feedback, and the other to my DAW to add IR and change levels.
