I love these bowling ball finishes. How did you track this down! Awesome!!!

I've been looking everywhere for one since last year. By doing google image searches I found some pictures that were posted on the gear page 5 years ago. I PMed the guy telling him that I realize its been 5 years, but did he still have the guitar and would he consider selling. He did still have the guitar and we worked out a deal that we were both happy with. He was the original owner who bought it brand new in LA back in 1988, that's the cool part. I got it a few weeks ago, but didn't do a NGD thread.

Its in near mint original condition except for a few tiny dings. It doesn't have any nicks on headstock or even any neck pocket cracks! Its probably the best example of an early first run bowling ball, which only 43 were made in black and white and all hand painted.

Heres the story from 10 years ago.

I'll have one in December...I'd love to see more to help with the wait.

Wow, I'm not likely to see two cooler guitars today than the orange and B/W bowling ball Andys...love both of them!!! The maroon one is no slouch either, the other two are just more my "thing".

Here's the Pro Am I spec'd. Any others out there?

What're your favorite body woods for Pro Ams?

I went with basswood and love it! Really balanced sounding with the chocolate maple neck.
