My Pro Am is Swamp Ash , sounds and plays awesome !

I love this! Looks like Nuno's guitar but with Tom's quality (not meant as a hit towards Washburn).

Wow, every single one looks amazing.

So many switches on the 97'

You guys like Basswood a lot ? I have three Andreson guitars. Mahogany body, Ash body and Alder body ... All 3 sound killer in different ways. If I order another Anderson it will be Basswood. I would imagine its probably the smoothest sounding out of the other choices. So far for me Anderson has been the most consistent at offering an instrument that plays and sounds great every time.

That's the switcharoo. I have it in mine. It's like 99999999999999x3333 pickup configurations.

I like basswood a lot, and elected for it because I'm a huge fan of Petrucci's Images and Words tone. I briefly had an alder TAG, and it was great. I share your exact sentiments about Anderson consistency and quality.

Absolutely love mine!! I love the simplicity and the feel and goes well with the other 3 TAGs!

Yeah, this guitar is beautiful and is a great color but look at that freakin' lawn!!!!!!!!!! Talk about beautiful! I'm firing my gardener tomorrow. :gethim:

I love that body shape too. It's the same as the original Charvel dinky body.

That's funny Curt!

I love this guitar. It is such a player and easily the most comfortable of all my guitars (although they all play like butter). My inspiration, funny enough, was a Charvel guitar I saw a few years ago. I have always loved this color and wanted a very simple guitar. This is what I spec'ed and couldn't be happier.

I hear that all the time about my lawn!  For the past 10 years I have had neighbors and friends award me best lawn in the community. I have to admit, it is all me. I work hard on my yard. I am a fanatic on mowing and edging and make sure there aren't any weeds/dandelions. By the time October hits I am ready for a break. It's tiring! :bleh: :2thumbsup:

Unfortunately I don't have any of these anymore but I had my share of Pro Am's. One in particular was VERY rare. I had a purple and black one that was killer but don't have any pics. In fact the reason these pics are so bad is because I had to scan OLD pictures.

WHOA AWESOME! What's the story with all those especially the one that looked like Steve Vai's?

I had those over 10 years ago. Had a period where I bought nothing but Anderson Pro Ams. All of these were basswood bodies. One is sapphire sparkle, one green and black bowling ball, two are emerald green sparkle. I'm pretty sure They are the first 2 emerald green sparkle Andersons. I remember them not offering any green sparkle at the time so I asked them if they could do something in green and that's what they came up with. I also had a black and white bowling ball with an all maple neck in basswood as well as a purple and black bowling ball with an alder body, rosewood board and hum sin sin pickups. I think I have pics of the black and white one but none of the purple one. The black and purple was the best bowling ball I had. More splotchy. Really cool. Stupidly sold it to GC in Hallandale. Anybody here end up with it? The Vai one came about from talking to Roy. I wanted something different, Vai's guitar came up and the always cool guys at Anderson did it. It was painted exactly like Vai's by Dan Lawrence who I paid separately. Only $300.00 I believe. I think Dan painted Vai's also. I also had the first 2 pro am 7's. Emerald green sparkle and sapphire. Didnt like the Floyd copy bridge they used. Unfortunately sold them all.

Very cool. Post more if you can find any more old pics. I've never seen a bowling ball with a maple fingerboard.

yes, took a few days to talk myself into it but glad I did, my new #1
