He’s just a pure player . I have studied his shit like a religion though I’m seen as a shredder .
Here a question I’d love to as . In 77 and 78 Angus was shredding hard af . But by 1979 a lot of that stopped. Like to let there be rock and powerage . Unreal ripping . He never played like that again . Riff Raff solo and Rosie are too solos where he played modal at times with 3 notes per string . Did he stop because EVH came out and just took it to a new level ? Idk something tamed it and I don’t think it was Mutt. Though I must say he did rip more again on razors edge and the live album . But idk. Maybe he just wanted to be more like bb king which a lot of his solos are in the vein of since 2000.
