I really wish i could get Eddie's exact amp and pedal details. It would make me a better guitarist and my dick would probably grow three to six more inches( so it would be 5-8 inches)

Saw a guy this morning run his 5150 at 5 post gain, and like 3.5 pre gain. Sounded good. It was a block letter.

5150's always sound great. The problems with them generally come from running too much gain, not because they don't have enough

Thanks @rsm I am no fan of Fricker and sorry EVH as I may have butchered a bit your tune but I had a great time trying to recreate this with one of my Boss Katana amp. It may not be perfect but I created a somewhat spongy kind of high gain sound that is very fun to play.

NOW we know, but back then Ed's sound was unlike anything we'd ever heard and so amazingly good that it hit the scene like a nuclear bomb.
And it didn't help that Ed lied in that Guitar Player cover story where he claimed that he cranked the voltage into his Marshalls, which did throw most people off the trail but also ruined a lot of people's amps. Ed later said he felt terrible about that.
