There we go! Yea only vague memories of Blackie spinnin his head around like some possessed metal demon and such.

WASP was on fire when they were playing the club scene here in LA. They were the ultimate freak show and quite imposing on stage.

Yea, that one night was was a big arena show. . . . . woulda been crazy to see the naked hottie on the rack n stuff. He did the skull of blood thing, but no raw meat that I saw from way back on the floor. No wonder my dad made me take off my Crue shirt off before we went hiking back then. skulls ,blood, handcuffs. Who knew it was the guitar sounds that really had our attention! Heck I was afraid of Merciful Fate back then, but those guitar tones I have never forgotten. Badass halfcocked wah sounding solos, and a satanic priest.

Back to WASP, how bout the Animal, F*** like a beast record? I had that. . . . was it an ep? Cot piece with a saw blade , yes!

You know what? The song isn't half bad!! HELL of a lot better than the first!! If he had live drums, played in time, tuned his guitar, got a better sound, and hired a singer.... He'd be onto something... I hear it at least... It's too bad, the guy still has some great ideas and could still make some great music. But he's just too messed up to really manifest those ideas and make them into what they could be...

Chris was a great guitar player in W.A.S.P. and there's a site from a guy in Finland who dedicated it to Chris and his gear/playing... Great site too!! He had some really unique ideas for his time. With W.A.S.P. he wasn't the flashiest player by any means, but he really had some great licks for the songs. VERY memorable solos and some great hooks... His solos really helped the songs be what they are... If they didn't Darryl, Doug etc wouldn't be playing them so close to the album... I saw W.A.S.P. in 2010 in Madison and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Doug Blair was in his place that night but DAMN Blackie's still got it!!

Funny, Chris always had such a saturated sound... I used to hate it... Now I love it...

On a serious note....really liked WASP back in the 80's....
But when I was watching his recent videos....all I could think of was...
"Man that is one SWEET JACKSON"....
Didnt really pay much attention to the song. The Gearhead in Me runs strong.

Chris was never a member or MENSA or a really intelligent guy. Just a cool dude who beat the crap out of a guitar. I don't think he's as burnt out as much as still just a big kid mentally. He's probably made a lot of bad decisions in life due to the influence of jackasses, but his heart seems to be in the right place. And he still plays good ol rock, even if it's not the best at least he's trying.
