Anthrax on Jimmy Fallon

That was a great performance if you ask me. Killer tune and Joey is one of the few singers that has gotten better with age...he still brings it big time.

Fwiw, I did the Fallon show earlier this year when I was on tour with The Cars and they have pretty strict limitations on volume. I am sure that played a big part in the TV mix as well as the fact that the touring engineers can not touch anything in those situations. All union engineers only.

Saw them at the Big 4 show. Definitely still bring it

Thought their mix sounded funny in these vids though. They had great tone and mix live though.

I had it dvr'd so I saw it on my home system and they sounded bad ass.
You're right though, the drums are too loud and the guitars are barely audible in these videos.

That was probably it then. If they ever sound weird or off-it isn't their fault. I couldn't conside myself a big fan but I've always loved their live tone.

I thought the vocals sounded kinda bad. Joey's stretchin' hard to hit notes, the harmonies weren't great. Scott's screaming in pitch was the only thing that sounded right on.

Not that i'm Casey Kasem,cause i'm still a fan that buys their music,but it seems they have been trying to climb the laddar again but like other bands that go thru members,they fuck them selfs.I'm almost %100 sure they aren't really a band as a whole,Scott and Charlie are some skeem'n no goods IMO,singer after singer,can't make their minds up and banging people the whole way.
I'm hoping they are done playing musical chairs,and put out one or two more good albums.
My 2 cents.

I agree. I thought the new stuff kind of meh. I did enjoy the Caught In the Mosh video though. Brings back memories of high school.

Yeah I haven't heard Ian's signature modules but the one's I have heard produced some stellar tone. Making money is fine and all but it's weird to me that he'd put his name on it if he wasn't happy with the final product. I mean, if he's really that attached to his jcm 800's then just get a marshall endorsement. If Kerry King can get one then why not Ian too? Maybe the Randall deal pays more?

* - BTW, the new anthrax album is really fucking awesome. There's a song on it called 'In The End' that I cannot stop listening to.
