Yeah....really good stuff. I am surprised he is still touring. I thought he went back to producing the last several years.

He's like... the Canadian Bon Jovi
If you ask me what I want to hear.....Bon Jovi...or Bryan Adams?....I say........

YES! :D

Run To You
Heaven
Everything I Do
Summer of 69
Please Forgive Me

I am just gonna raise my hand, step up to front of the class, and say it loud and proud:

I wish I had written those songs.

+1 man....good rocking tunes. love em all.

Only bad thing he has going for his besides his face is the fact that he's a Canuck.

Adams has garnered many awards and nominations, including 20 Juno Awards among 56 nominations, 15 Grammy Award nominations including a win for Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or Television in 1992. He has also won MTV, ASCAP, American Music awards, two Ivor Novello Awards for song composition and has been nominated for several Golden Globe Awards and three times for Academy Awards for his songwriting for films.

Hasn't he won the most awards in Canada?

Many great songs

My band just put run to you on our setlist. Keyboardist is playing the intro and verse. Hopefully it goes over well.

I like Bryan Adams a lot. The guitar playing is simple but very tasty. Some unique sounding tones too. For example, I'm Ready.

Don't forget, "Run to You". I loved that incredibly simple riff back then.

When I was a youngin or even today at 35 when I hear the fade out and then the slightly distorted riff come back in with the build up back to the chorus it still gives me chills. There's a lot of half assed music that's gotten a lot of airplay because of can-con but he's not part of that. Great songwriter.

The solo tone on "Cuts Like a Knife" is incredible...Stratocaster with gainy sustain but no fuzz. LOVE the outro melodic soloing as well.

I like his stuff from Waking up the Neighbors and before. after that, meh.

I saw him when they toured with Def Leppard, was at least 5 years ago. You could totally tell who was there to see DL and who was there to see BA. BA did put on a good show and my friend remarked to me afterwards, "I didn't know Bryan Adams did that many rock songs" :)

Oh and don't try looking for Bryan Adams on allmusic.com, he is not there for some reason...

Opened all our shows back in my college days with Don't leave me lonely! Killer tune!

Reckless is a killer album and it's been in my music listening rotation since I got it on vinyl in the 80's. Awesome production and guitar playing. Remember when an album that rocked like that one did was just another Pop release and charted highly. The 80's did get some things right. Almost every pop song still had some pretty great guitar solo's in them.

Also a lot of killer playing and solo's from "Mr Benatar" back then.

I can't find the original MTV video, but this was always my favorite BA song... Awesome Fender + VOX AC30 tone!

Not really a fan but I think the guitar player used a Trainwreck amp

Very cool. Enjoy the show...I would. I'd much rather listen to that than a lot of 80s pop that had no guitar in it...Duran Duran, Thopmson Twins, Ah Ha, etc...

Ken built the first Trainwreck "Ginger" in 1983, so Keith Scott would not have been playing one at that time. Even if he had access to one, it would have been a "Liverpool" model, which was based on the VOX AC30 circuit. Those early signature tones came from VOX AC30 + Marshall/Hiwatt running side-by-side.

VOX AC30 compression... There is no substitute! :)

Here's classic duet that was recorded and filmed at Sound City Studios.
