Not really a fan but I think the guitar player used a Trainwreck amp
Ken built the first Trainwreck "Ginger" in 1983, so Keith Scott would not have been playing one at that time. Even if he had access to one, it would have been a "Liverpool" model, which was based on the VOX AC30 circuit. Those early signature tones came from VOX AC30 + Marshall/Hiwatt running side-by-side.

VOX AC30 compression... There is no substitute! :)

Here's classic duet that was recorded and filmed at Sound City Studios.

I think he used one to record a couple of songs. It's my understanding he used either a Marsshall or a Vox to record most of the first couple of albums.

Anyone remember Bryan singing a song with Sweeney Todd called Roxy Roller? I believe he was only 15 at the time.

Some local guys covered it last weekend...singing doesn't start until a couple minutes in.

The solo tone on "Cuts Like a Knife" is incredible...Stratocaster with gainy sustain but no fuzz. LOVE the outro melodic soloing as well.

AGREED!!

Heard this the other day and such great tone and playing (not Bryan Adams) but that original guitar player rocked!

I think Bryan Adams was 16 at the time. Nick Gilder was the original singer, but they recut it with Bryan Adams after Nick left the band. I prefer the Nick Gilder version.

Nick Gilder...

Bryan Adams...

Big fan of ol' Bry, especially his earlier work. Despite his chronic "unhipness" in the eyes of the cognoscenti, the Live at Budokan show which is a 3 piece gig with Bryan on bass is a masterclass. You can't ask for better backing than Keith Scott and Mickey Curry.

Cant remember which live show but the guitar player had a wall of white Marshall Plexi stacks...jizzed my pants!

Havent seen a concert in almost 10 years. Last one was Judas Priest. Killer!
But Bryan Adams is playing about 10 minutes from my house. Me and the lady want to go check it out.
Cuts like a knife.....reckless....great great tracks.
Gonna get the tickets this week. Should be a great show. Always liked his stuff.

Heck yes Dan, me and my drummer bud used to do a heavy version of Summer of '69, very fun to play.

The song "this time" of cuts like a knife ....so fn good.

Best is yet to come off that album is one of my all time favs.

C'mon...this is great. Love "Cuts..." and have played it countless times ALWAYS to great response and would love to do this one. The album track production - especially beginning guitar tone - are incredible. His studio is incredible, as well.

IT'S ONLY LOVE

Plenty of flubs in this live performance, too. Real deal performance.

the intro guitar for: run to you and its only love always did for me!

Yep still like him and respect his songwriting--He collects hairband guitars like Charvels,Kramers,Jacksons etc I was told by a dude who owns guitar shop in Memphis said Adams came in and played and bought a few from him a few yrs ago

Loved Keith Scott's guitar tone and playing on "Cuts like a knife" and "it's only love". Still play those tunes on occasion. In fact......I think I'll go play them now!
