near Louisville? My Son and daughter in law decided to take a road trip there with both my grandbabies and daughter. Going to see some cave with Christmas lights. Did not realize how far they were traveling...Now I'm a nervous wreck....lol...Wondering if they have any problems if there's any homies I could call to check on them? If needed......

I’m from there originally but don’t live there anymore so can’t help you, but I have to ask where are they coming from that’s such a long drive? Louisville has gone downhill in a lot of ways over the past decade or so, but it’s still not bad compared to a lot of other cities.

central WV... they are G2G....it just worries me them taking a trip like that. Then I think Jesus...what if something happens....It's going to take me hours to get there.....my post was kind of a spur of the moment thing. Let's see if any forum bro's are close to there...kind of a peace of mind thing for me...lol....

My family is from Eastern Ohio/WV area and yes, it is insane how many deer we have with plentiful hunting.

Same down here in the Blue Ridge. Feels like russian roulette driving some places at night. Deer really do get hit all the time. I see new ones rotting on the roadsides every week, and each one probably fucked up a vehicle pretty decently.

Back when I still lived in Louisville, a buddy of mine was visiting from DC and got his car seriously messed up by a deer when he was driving through WV on his way home. Middle of the night, no chance to do anything about it, it just suddenly appeared bolting across the road. He hit it in the hind quarters at high speed and it swung around and smashed into his door and window. The 96 Nissan Altima was never the same after that I’m afraid. Still could have been worse. He’s lucky he wasn’t on the road with aggressive tractor trailers or anything at the time.
