Any Herbert users who went back to EL34?

After my retube two weeks back i was very happy with my amp being alive again!

Im running:
a sixtet JJ KT77
V1 Mullard CV4004
V2 Shuguang 12AX&B HG
V3/V6 Shuguang 12AX7B

The amp has so much gain, im running ch. 2 at 10/11:00 and ch.3 at 9:00

Riffs: strong, articulate and punchy, low and high focused.....the Herbert right
Lead: here is where i hit a wall, single notes have to much low end (not useable lows)

The cleans are amazing but the EL34 also delivers a good clean tone.

Now im thinking....EL34BSTR

Did any of you have/notice the same? Did any of you go back to EL34?

I have a vew boxes with tubes ill get tested, this is getting way to expensive
I think i have 24 power tubes, ill be left with enough to experiment with

In my mkI I use EL34BSTR

I went back after trying to like the the JJ Kt77 for a while.
I just don’t like the overbearing low mids of the JJ KT77.
I find it un musical , and it can’t be dialed out.

Specifically in Herbert I really like the EL34BSTR, No so much in most other amps.

I remember loving the EL34BHT, 5 out of 6 i have ling around work. Maybe ill try the BSTR while im at it
