Any Marshall JMP clones?

Germino has one available thru The Amp House. It doesn't have an effects loop (neither did the Marshall JMP's)

I liked the Master Volume on the old '76-79 JMP Marshalls, of which I owned a few.
The couple of amps I had w/ the PPIMV I didn't like (Ceriatone/ Vintage Modern)

Anything else?

Geez... pick your poison;

Granger,Bugera,Mojotone,etc etc

Or just buy a 4010 jcm800 combo for under 1k and call it a day. Essentially the same circuit if not identical.

Also, if you note the bite of the JMP, remember that the combos have a bypass cap on the mid pot which cut the highs some. Snip that and you are even closer. The rest of the differences will come down to how the components have drifted value over town.

I would get a real Marshall JMP if you can... the whole fan boi crap over at TGP turns me of the germinos regardless of how they sound.. I just don't care anymore. I would like to get a hold of a used rockitt retro 100 watter and just convert it to a 2203, very easy to do and only requires a few resistors/caps etc.

Got a 79 JMP 2203 a few months back, 1K in good shape with GE6550s. Killer amp.
I'm with lp6, get an original.

I’d get the Germino 50W ... been eyeing these myself.

The Fargen Old 800MkII or Soultone 2204 are worth checking out as well.

The Germino Lead 55LV sounds killer too. Here’s mine

Everyone needs a decent Jmp though that Germino sounds killer .

Yeah, I agree, too... even an early 800 with vertical inputs is basically the same circuit. I've got 2 50w JMP 2204 MVs and a 100w JMP 2203 MV. All a little different, all really good (IMHO, of course).

Germino does make a great amp, though, but other than the one at The Amp House, those are variations of NMV amps with optional PPIMV. Their Lead 55LV has been on my radar for a while.

Why not just buy an original? Heck, you can get two originals for the price of most of these clones...

Agreed. An original will also have a more raw and organic sound
