Actually I am between a Bogner Snorkler and Folkesson MKV JMP from 1975. I know they are not the same amp but very hyped for Snorkler, also curious about the Folkesson. It seems extremely versatile and sounds great in your videos

I like how many classic sounds are still in the Folkesson. Segeborn has some cool vids that focus on the cleaner and medium gain tones and they sound great.

ultimatemetalguitartones confirm or deny for us here...

I've never tried the Bogner but the Folkesson is awesome. Really versatile as well.

I know @ultimatemetalguitartones loves his and it does sound good. But the Mark VI I had was not good. Terrible amp. It’s now a GZ mod instead. He must have fucked mine up

Yeah I remember you mentioning that. Who knows!

It might depend on whether he tunes them for each amp or has made it more assembly line, in that the mod is all pre-built and just gets put in the amp and slapped with a ready to go sticker.
I found the same experience with a Soldano mod. My bandmate had a modded 800 that was amazing and because I was kind of bored and had owned my amp for 10 years, I got Soldano to do the same mod on my ‘78 2203. It wasn’t nearly as good. Softer, less raw and wild.
It may have been just what happens with the different internal voltages from the amp but it was a bummer all the same.
Looking at the internals you could see it was just a prebuilt board installed next to the input side of the original board. I doubt they tweak any values after.

Here's a great Quad Cortex capture I made - this is my buddy rocking out!

The original clip in post #19 is far better than the capture. Did you sell the amp?
Definitely different settings / player and recording!
Yes and I am considering getting a 100 watts one with some special features! Actually I am in the talks with Tommy as we speak!

We interviewed Tommy for some reasearch I’m doing into Marshall amp modding. There’s a short on the YouTube channel in my signature. Full interview will be released in spring.
