I know it's not the most popular thing in the US, but just wanted to see if anyone here is a fan. I can't wait for the season to finally start this weekend. Should be very interesting to see how everyone performs with all of the new rule and car changes.

Hells yeah. Hoping Massa can take the title this year. Or Vettel if the RB5 has the legs.

Glad we are keeping the current points system too. That was close.

Massa is my favorite driver as well. Also a big Alonso fan. Vettel is definitely going to win a lot of races in his career I think. Hopefully he'll sign with Ferrari when that time comes. :D

I was but they have neutered the tracks in Europe with chicanes that eliminate the best under braking passing zones, thus it's nothing more than hot lapping once the first lap is over.

More into sports car racing that F1 especially stuff like Sebring, Daytona and Le Mans. But then again I race vintage sports cars.

Used to be into NASCAR big until they screwed up the cars and made all the tracks looks the same.

Kimi will buttrape Massa this year, I think. Last year Kimi seemed to have lost his motivation and the car was bad for Kimi's way of driving. Situation will change for this year. Heikki's situation is as shitty as always because Lewis is the main driver at McLaren. Heikki suffered from heavier fuel loads in qualifyings than Lewis during the last season except for one GP where Heikki had less fuel than Lewis. He was faster than Lewis in that GP and when taking the fuel amount into consideration Heikki didn't do bad in qualifyings.

Yeah, big Alonso fan too, he is probably the best driver in the field. If the Renault is competitive I can see him running away with the title.

Nothing would please me more that seeing Heikki wipe that grin off Hamiltons face

Used to be a big fan of Michael Schumacher throughout his whole career. I quit watching TV when I quit watching the F1.

Gee, I wonder if you think those guys are going to be awesome this year because they're both from Finland? :D

I just told Heikki's qualifying position last year. He should've been better in GPs. If you've been watching F1 races, have read news and articles etc. at all, you already know why Kimi wasn't very good in qualifyings and was weak at quite a many races last year; he couldn't get the tyres to warm up fast enough. You'll also notice that Kimi had the fastest racelap in 10 out of 18 GPs. The driver who placed 2nd in number of fastest racelaps in a GP was Massa with 3 fastest laps. This tyre temperature thing caused Kimi to get worse start positions for a race and the first few laps were very bad for him because other drivers' cars worked better during those laps. This very same thing caused Kimi lots of problems on rain too... According to what I've read/seen, these problems are gone and if they're gone, Kimi will eat Massa alive. Just my $0.02.´

I'm heavily into F1. I'm an Alonso fan

btw got tickets for the Barcelon race, that should be something!

You're crazy if you think Kimi is going to "eat Massa alive." That just makes no sense. They're both amazing drivers driving for the best team in F1. Kimi will definitely be better than he was last year, but I think Massa is the guy to beat on that team.

That's awesome! I want to go to the Monaco race someday, but it's so damn expensive.

How can you think that Massa's faster than Kimi? Read my post above and it says it all. Kimi will dominate this season when thinking about Ferrari drivers. The situation will go back to normal so to speak. ;)

I miss the 80s F1 rules.................there pretty much were none and cars were rumored to be putting out 1400+ HP with the turbo boost through the roof during qualifying.

There will never be another Senna, RIP.

I'm well aware of Kimi's problems last year. I don't see how you think he's magically going to dominate a guy who should have been the world champion last year.

You answered your question in that post already.

Don't be upset with Massa just because he isn't from Finland.

Nope. Re-read your own post and check Kimi's history.
