Any rivera fans\owners over here?

I had a K-Tre and a Pubster 45 and a 55/12. My favorite was the 55/12. It had a great sound. Awesome little amp to have. I didn't bond with the 45 like I did with the 55/12. The K-Tre just didn't do it for me and I didn't like the speaker that came with it.

Man I'd probably buy a 55/12 if I run across a good deal. They're cool little amps.

Any secrets on getting the gain channel of a M60 to open up? Got chinese pres and JJ E34L's biased hot.

I had this issue with my M60 also. The standard answer with any Rivera gain channel is that you are just not done tweaking yet. Tons of tones in there and many of them are not very good. Once you find the good ones, it's all over. Till then however  .

Depending on what you mean by "open up" I will suggest an EQ in the loop for simpler tweaking and/or a boost out front.

Used the K100 (the 100 watt brother of your amp) to track quite a bit of our album. I fell in love with Rivera after those 2 weeks. We liked to kick the front end with a TS808 a bit to get her screaming, but it wasn't really necessary. All the cleans on our album were done with a Knucklehead.

http://www.myspace.com/sevendaysonnet All of those songs feature the KR100, an Uberschall and a modded JCM800.

I know I posted here before, but the album wasn't out yet and I didn't have clips....

Got a TAC-112, put a Zinky/Eminence 8 ohm high power (kapton VC) in place of the stock Celestion G12K-85. Got a 3/4" Jay Mitchell Donut on there as well. At lower volumes on the H/P setting, both gains pulled and tones on 10 and focus on 10 feels pretty open.

I find the passive eq is best used for cutting, otherwise it is resistive to dynamic expression.
