Any Timefactor users?

I just sold my G-Major-2 and I was thinking of selling my XTC but I just cant do it. I'm just going to go back to a simple rig. I just played dry into the amp and it really sounds so good, I do want delay though and I'll always have my BB-Preamp and Wah. I had a T-Rex Replica and loved it but they are spendy, is anyone using the Timefactor and how does it compare to the Replica, I know with the TF you can program various delays which is a big plus but does it color the tone of your amp? Or is there another delay that you recommend? Yes I'd love a 2290 but it aint happening!!

Sounds excellent, I loved mine. I found there was some *slight colouration* with it. Either you have to put up with the DSP bypass which colours everything or the true bypass which makes the dry signal drop in volume a little or alternatively do as I did and run it in parallel with the Kill-Dry. Do that and you're golden. Really great sounding delays, and some good modulation too which is a nice added extra. Great unit.

The TF is great, especially if you use it in parallel. I used one with a mini mix from Suhr. The ducking delay is awesome. I like it more more then the G-major I had.

I recently got one. Used it live for the 1st time last night. I had a few guys compliment me and ask what it was. I think it 's a great pedal, and I use it in series. It may color a little but not in a bad way. There are a lot of U2 type presets that, for me, are not useable - just not my style - but sound good. It's a powerful little unit. Good flange/chorus/delay settings, small room reverb, in addition to delays.

Since you can set the TF to line level then it's better to run it in parallel. In a series effects loop the entire signal will go through whatever effects are placed in the loop, in parallel the effects in the loop are blended with the amps signal. So with a parallel loop you really don't have to worry that much if a unit colors your tone.

I run one straight into a plexi/ instrument level. It does fine/dont over think it.

can you get a spillover when using the Kill-Dry?

It's been about three months since I used one but from what I remember, yes you can. I'm almost certain I had spillover.

Just ordered one! Looking forward to hearing it! It will be a basic set up but it will be nice to hear the guitar and not a bunch of effects hiding my sloppy playing!!
