I saw him once on that early-solo-career tour he opened for AC/DC. He was amazing. I know he could never recapture that but I'd def go see him if he was within a couple-hour drive. But he's a couple DAYS drive away on this tour.

I also saw him on that tour. Both Yngwie and AC/DC were great!

He's at the HOB Orlando next month...it's on a Wednesday though so I probably won't feel like driving over. Saw him in Hawaii in 86' opening for Dio. I don't think Campbell even bothered with a guitar solo that night.

I'm seeing him tonight. If you didn't get tickets you're crazy.

He's near Chicago next week...might see if I can make it down there...

He still sounds great to me. Those clips had some tasty stuff going on.

He had some cool stereo delay stuff going on at times, but most of the time it was pretty dry. Not as loud as you would think either.

He's coming to Buffalo this Thursday and I plan to go with my nephews.

A friend of mine saw him in nyc wesnday nite he said he was awesome

Yngwie will always give 200% at every show. He's all over the place. Pretty unreal that he can play such difficult stuff while keeping up stage presence. He may be a douche and play viking metal but as long as he's alive he's one of the best guitar players on this planet.

VIKING METAL RULES!!!!!!

There can only be one...

An old friend told me a story when he saw Yngwie years ago in Fla, he road tripped down there to see him. When he got to the hotel the clerk showed him that Yngwie was staying at the same place..he signed his name "Gimme De Monay"...Lol

I saw him on the Trilogy tour, I think opening for Quiet Riot. I was expecting Mark Boals but it was Jeff Scot Soto. I love Mark's vocals but was pleasantly surprised to see Jeff. The turnout was small and I was about 6 feet from the stage for the whole show.

The Last time I saw him was in Ft. Lauderdale & it was at a smaller club. I spent the entire night getting hit with guitar picks...he must of thrown or kicked at least 5 to 10 picks every song. it was odd....he spent more time throwing picks than he did playing. I do run into him in Miami from time to time, he's always very nice when I see him out.

Saw the show last night... meh. I've definitely seen him play better.
He came out on fire, but they had some sound and lighting issues. So he went into "fly it in" mode.. he was ahead of the band quite a few times, through no fault of theirs. It was almost like watching a cover band try to pull off an Yngwie tune at times...
Also - he needs a vocalist.. for the "hits', the "play a verse, chorus or 2, extended solo and a couple of choruses out" formula didn't quite work - meh.
Also - the guitar spins and pick kicks.. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, and back in the day I loved it - now it's almost parody or schtick.
He's still a monster on that fretboard though

Saw him 2 days ago. He was on fire and delivered..Seemed to have pretty decent happy go attitude, lots of smiling on stage too.Really enjoyed the show.My advice? go see a true legend while he's bringin it so good. His tone was killer too.The whole viking/pick flicks/ax twirls is part it all.it doesn't bother me one bit.I'm too into his music to really notice any of that.I remember when the steeler album came and the radio stations were playing hot on your heels.Man,wow.Thankyou,Yngwie for raising the bar!
